 STUDIO 101 - 6 week course
 

Lana Banana Studios is proud to launch a 6 week course designed to educate young musicians & aspiring sound producers in all aspects of the recording industry:

• Learn real life skills in audio engineering, production, mixing & more.

• Learn in a fully functioning, award winning recording studio, with industry standard equipment & technology.

• Learn from a qualified professional, mixer & Audio Engineer, in a relaxed fun & friendly environment.

• Gain the skills necessary to make it into higher education & the industry itself!

 

Course Topics Include:

​

An Introduction to Sound Engineering

Learn to record any instrument. Explore a brief history of the technology & discover the broad range of jobs such skills can lead on to.

​

Microphone Use & Understanding

Learn about dynamic, condenser & ribbon microphones & many more microphone types & patterns. Learn pros & cons, as well as how to use them.

​

Music & Media

Develop skills not only used in music, but also across all media types, including TV, film & video games.

​

Industry Software

Develop your skills in music software used in the professional industry.

​

Mixing and Mastering

Polish your tracks with insider advice on production techniques.

​

 

Each six week course will be run by our Head Engineer, Jack Randall. Jack is experienced in recording for film, TV, bands & more. He has a Degree in Music Production & has studied live sound, business & media composition. When not performing, engineering or mixing, Jack has also worked for ITV editing foley. Jack is a passionate member of the industry & is able to offer students crucial knowledge on how to get to where they want to be.

• ​Weekly sessions held at Lana Banana Studios: 90 Weald Road, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1QQ

 

• ​Sessions last 60 minutes & are charged at £30 per student per session. Full payment must be made before the course commences.

 

• Students will be taught in groups of up to five. Where demand is high, you may be put on a waiting list.
